The Webasto Group respects your privacy and takes the protection of your personal data very seriously.

It is important for you to know how and when we collect what data and how we use it. We have put technical and organizational measures in place to ensure the requirements for data protection/privacy are strictly adhered to.

The app is provided to you as a free service by Webasto Thermo & Comfort SE, Gilching, Germany. It is intended for use as is. Webasto Thermo & Comfort Benelux B.V. in the Netherlands is the data controller and determines the purposes of the data processing.

This privacy policy explains what we do and don’t do with the data collected by our Webasto service App (referred to as: ´app’)

The developer of this app (Qbus ICT B.V.) and our provider of the Dealer Portal (BoomRepublic) are data processors. They process your personal data on behalf of Webasto Thermo & Comfort Benelux B.V. in compliance with this privacy policy and all applicable legislation. We therefore ask you to read this policy carefully. We hold the right to update this privacy policy because of further development of our business operations or changes in applicable legislation. Both the developer of the app and provider of the Dealer Portal do not process this data for their own use.

This page is used to inform visitors about our policies regarding the collection, use, and sharing of Personal Information if they decided to use our app.

If you choose to use our app you agree to the collection and use of information according to this policy. The Personal Information we collect is used for providing and improving the services provided by the functionalities of our app. We will not use or share your information with other parties except the ones described in this Privacy Policy.

Information collection and use

For a better experience we may ask you to provide personal information which may lead to your identification, including, but not limited to, your email address which is needed for logging in to the app. The information requested will be retained by us and used as described in this privacy policy. The gathered data will be used for personalized content, authentication and will be used in order to trace and resolve issues which may occur during the usage of the app.

The app does use third party services (Google Play Services and Apple iOS Store) that may collect information used to identify you.

About the app

The app is a mobile application programmed to function on a smartphone or tablet or other mobile device. The app enables you as a Webasto dealer with a Dealer Portal account to

  • Register products after they are installed into vehicle(s) of end-user
  • Acquire documentation about these products

Your account

The account used for logging in to the app is the same account as the one used for logging in to the Webasto Dealer Portal. The dealer portal has its own privacy policy. This app is meant to be an extension of this Dealer Portal and therefore uses this system as back-end.

Your account is personal. If your account is inactive for 18 consecutive months, the account will be deactivated and your personal data will be anonymized. If you have any questions or if you want us to actively deactivate your account, you can contact us at dealerportal -at- webasto.com. Please replace '-at-' with '@' when composing the e-mail.

If you want to make any changes to your personal account, you can only do that in the Dealer Portal. For this Dealer Portal service we will use your personal data for authentication and optionally to provide you with up to date, personalized content and notifications. You can manage these settings in your Dealer Portal account. (Edit Account after login).

Log data

In case of an error or problem while using the app, we collect data and information (through developer QBus ICT B.V.) from your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app during usage, the time and date set up on the device and other statistics. A data processing agreement between Webasto Thermo & Comfort Benelux B.V. and QBus ICT B.V. has been implemented to make sure your data will processed in a proper and legal way.


We value your trust in providing us your personal information, thus we are striving to save all data in a secure manner. All the data which is being exchanged during the usage of the app is encrypted and stored on internal servers. Remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Which data is being collected when using the app and for which purpose?

In the app, only your login and –logout token is being logged locally on your device. We do this so you can start the app immediately after logging in for the first time. A connection with the Dealer Portal will be made during the login process to verify if your local credentials are still correct. If that’s not the case, the login prompt will appear again in the app and you will have to re-enter your login credentials.

Next to the login information, data is collected about the devices you use if you register these in the app. This allows us to personalize the app content for you.
